I really appreciate what you write here, very refreshing and smart. One problem though, I’m running Firefox on Ubuntu and some of your site structure are a little wonky. I realize it’s not a common setup, but it’s still something to to keep in mind. Just tossing you a heads up.

This tip is great, last time I installed a server I spent hours figuring this out, I bookmarked your tip at that time. This time I had the error, remembered your tip and had it fixed in under 2 minutes.

thank you man thats was soooooo helpfull
i think there is somethings must be edited :
sudo cp -p /etc/bind/zones/template db.example.com

for newbies like me , they will copy the command as written ,ans they will copy db.example.com in their actual PWD .. so i suggest to write the full PATH

sudo cp -p /etc/bind/zones/template /etc/bind/zones/db.example.com

also for the template file .. if they copy it they must remove the spaces in the first of all lines .
