I decided to take a trial run of Octopress running on Heroku. I am mildly impressed with both the workflow and publishing method. Octopress uses Jeykll, a static site generator writen in Ruby and converts Markdown to HTML. I have been familier with Markdown for several years now but really never dove into it. Primarly because I am not a developer I just never saw the value in it. I am now a convert.
